We featured it last November, but with the weather warming up, we thought it would be good to mention again The Seasonal Planting Guide – Subtropical Eastern Australia. It guides the gardener month-by-month on what herbs, fruits, roots, vegetables, flowers and green manures to plant in the subtropics. It also includes information on planting distances, how long it takes for the plant to grow from planting to harvest, soil ph requirments, botanical names and pollination details to assist with seed saving effectively.
Compiled by Loretta Faulkner, the Guide is a social enterprise project and a percentage of sales go to Mullumbimby Community Garden. Copies are available from http://www.rastaseed.com/subtropical-food-planting-guide/
